If you want to round off your Mercado stroll with a good glass of wine, you should head to Carsten Timmermann’s wine counter. Because – as most visitors to the center now know – the fine wines taste particularly good there. Ca’ Vino has more than 250 different types of wine to offer. You can try many of them, and around 35 wines are regularly available in the wine shop. Of course, the wines are also available to take away and enjoy at home.

Owner Carsten Timmermann, who has been with the Mercado since the beginning and has been a valued wine expert for many years, is also happy to give tips on choosing the right wine. A light dinner, for example, also includes light drinks. How about a Prosecco from Ca’ Vino? It is beautifully fruity, dry and contains little acid. Connoisseurs drink it as an aperitif. Mr. Timmermann is also happy to recommend a 98 „Early White” from South Africa or a Hungarian Pinot Grigio or a Beaujolais Primeur or… the best thing is to just come along for a tasting!
